- App

Accessibility
November 3, 2026
This page describes how the 好顶活动 (Howding Events) iOS app, operated by Samyin Inc., works with iPhone accessibility settings. It backs the app's Accessibility Nutrition Labels on the App Store. Each item describes what the app actually does; where something is not supported or does not apply, we say so. The app's interface is in Simplified Chinese.
VoiceOver: Supported
- Buttons, icons, avatars, the camera and keypad keys all have labels; decorative posters, arrows and backgrounds are hidden from VoiceOver.
- Event, ticket, community and meetup cards are read as one element, with dates spoken naturally (e.g. "November 7"). Page and section titles are marked as headings for rotor navigation.
- Selected states (city, filters, ticket types, payment method, poll options) are announced, as are likes and their counts.
- Actions that otherwise need a swipe or long press (copy, unsend, report or block a message or comment; remove a team member, revoke an invite; set a photo as cover or delete it; reorder ticket types) are available from the VoiceOver Actions rotor.
- Ticket quantity is adjustable by swiping up or down; the plus and minus buttons are named and the count is read out.
- At the door, check-in results for organizers (admitted or not, how many guests, any error) are announced by voice, not shown only as a full-screen color.
- The entry QR code is labeled and notes that the screen brightness has been raised; every poster and community pin on the map has a name and date; charts on the stats page are read as a sentence.
Voice Control: Supported
- Control names match the text shown on screen, so commands like "Tap 波士顿" work; common buttons also have alternative spoken names (e.g. 加一张 "add one", 播放 "play", 地图 "map").
- Swipe and long-press actions are also exposed as accessibility actions, so they can be performed by voice.
Larger Text: Supported
- Text follows the system text size, including the larger accessibility sizes; tab titles and large numbers (prices, stats) scale too.
- At the largest sizes, event cards, ticket rows, the checkout bar, orders and ledgers switch to stacked layouts; buttons grow taller and wrap instead of shrinking text; names, titles and places wrap rather than truncate; small sheets expand to full screen.
Dark Interface: Supported
- Both the audience side and the organizer tools follow the iPhone's Light or Dark appearance, each with its own palette.
- Exceptions: the entry QR code is always shown black on white so it scans reliably, and the photo cropper is always dark.
Differentiate Without Color Alone: Supported
- States carry words or symbols: errors have a warning icon; selected poll options, cities and membership tiers get a checkmark; hidden or disabled items are labeled rather than just dimmed; check-in results are written and spoken.
- With Differentiate Without Color turned on, selected filter chips also show a checkmark.
Sufficient Contrast: Supported
- In both Light and Dark appearances, body and secondary text meet a contrast ratio of at least 4.5:1 (WCAG AA), including green and amber status text.
- With Increase Contrast turned on, secondary text and separators get stronger still.
Reduced Motion: Supported
- With Reduce Motion on, springs, slides and zooms become short cross-fades; the like button no longer bounces, the purchase checkmark no longer scales, the tap-to-pay animation does not loop, and sheets and the photo viewer follow the setting.
Captions: Not applicable
- The app has no video or audio content of its own. YouTube and Bilibili videos that people share in posts play in those platforms' players; captions depend on the platform and the uploader.
Audio Descriptions: Not applicable
- As above: the app has no video content of its own, so audio descriptions are not provided.
Known limitations
- Posters and photos uploaded by organizers do not have individual image descriptions. The event's name, time, place and other details are always shown as text on the page, which VoiceOver reads.
- Posts, comments and event descriptions are written by their authors; we cannot guarantee every image in them has a text alternative.
- The app's interface is currently available in Simplified Chinese only.
